muskie population will double. My belief is then with stocking and reproduction if you waited until the spawn period is over eventually you will have a proper reproducing population...

Stocked muskies do reproduce... River/Lake in Quebec Canada was stocked... now 'down river' in Main and then back in Canada the St. John's River has a booming Muskie population. Main issue I think is the pre-spawn fishing that is allowed. You need to have Gord Pyzer on and the Chapter President of Muskies Canada from Fredericton and they can best talk to you about the efficacy of stocking. Gord speaks of the 2% rule... if we just get 2% better at catch and release then in a short time the
